This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use montclairdeli.com, its online ordering service, and the Montclair Deli & Grill Android app (com.montclairdeli.app). Montclair Deli & Grill is the restaurant that receives and fulfills food orders at 62 Montclair Ave, Paterson, NJ 07503.
For privacy questions or requests, call (973) 754-1096 or write to Montclair Deli & Grill, Attn: Privacy, 62 Montclair Ave, Paterson, NJ 07503. Please identify whether your question concerns a website order, an existing customer account, or the Android app. Do not send full payment-card numbers, security codes, passwords, or other unnecessary sensitive information.
Information you provide
- Orders and fulfillment: customer names, email addresses, telephone numbers, ordered items, quantities, selected options, order notes, pickup or delivery selection, delivery addresses when applicable, totals, payment status, and order history. This information is used to prepare and fulfill orders, validate delivery eligibility, communicate about orders, provide support, and maintain transaction records.
- Existing customer accounts: login and profile information, saved addresses, and associated order history. The current ordering configuration supports guest checkout and does not offer new customer registration during checkout or on the My Account page. Existing account holders can use the account functions available to them.
- Communications: information you choose to provide when calling the restaurant or requesting help. Please keep order notes limited to information needed to prepare or deliver your food.
Payments
Online payments are processed through Square using the FunnelKit Payment Gateway for Square WooCommerce integration. Available methods depend on your device and checkout and can include payment cards, Google Pay, Apple Pay, Cash App Pay, and Square gift cards. Square’s embedded payment fields handle card entry and generate payment tokens. The restaurant’s ordering system uses payment and transaction references, status information, and limited payment-method details to process and reconcile orders; payment processing is also subject to Square’s and the selected wallet provider’s privacy terms. Review Square’s Privacy Policy before submitting payment information.
Cookies, analytics, and technical information
WordPress and WooCommerce use cookies and similar browser storage for functions such as maintaining a shopping cart, remembering sessions, and supporting signed-in accounts. The app is configured to retain website cookies. Clearing cookies or app storage may clear your cart or require you to sign in again.
The website uses Google Analytics through Site Kit by Google to measure visits and website interactions. Analytics can process cookie identifiers, pages viewed, interactions, device and browser characteristics, and approximate location derived from an internet connection. See Google’s Privacy Policy and Google’s Analytics opt-out information. Browser cookie controls and content-blocking choices may affect analytics and some website functions; a browser add-on may not work inside the Android app.
When a device connects to the website or app services, the services receive technical information such as an IP address, browser or app information, requested resources, and connection timing. This information supports delivery of content, troubleshooting, and security. AppMySite’s platform also processes device or other identifiers for app functionality. The app’s website content and ordering forms remain covered by this policy.
The Android app integrates Google Firebase components for app analytics, installation and messaging services, and crash diagnostics. Firebase analytics can process an app-instance identifier, app lifecycle and session information, device characteristics, and approximate location derived from an internet connection. The information processed depends on the component and its configuration. See Firebase’s privacy information.
The Android app also initializes Sentry for error reporting and performance monitoring. Depending on the event, diagnostic information can include an installation identifier, app and operating-system versions, device characteristics, error stack traces, timing and navigation context, and app view-hierarchy information. The inspected Android build is configured not to attach screenshots or enable Sentry’s default personal-information enrichment. These settings do not mean that all diagnostic content is anonymous. Diagnostic information is used to investigate errors and app performance. See Sentry’s privacy information.
Some pages contain Google Maps or links to Google Maps for location and directions. Loading embedded content or opening an external service can disclose technical connection information to that provider and is subject to its privacy practices.
How information is used and who receives it
Information is used to operate the menu, cart, checkout, and existing account functions; process payments; prepare food; arrange pickup or local delivery; respond to questions; understand website usage; maintain business records; and investigate technical or security problems. Restaurant staff involved in preparation, customer service, and delivery receive the order information needed for their work.
The service uses WordPress and WooCommerce for the website and commerce records, the custom Deli Quick Order plugin for restaurant ordering, Square and the FunnelKit integration for payments, AppMySite for the Android app platform, Firebase and Sentry for the Android functions described above, and Google Analytics and Google Maps for the functions described above. Website hosting and technical service providers process information as needed to operate these services. WordPress, WooCommerce, and installed plugins are software components; their presence does not mean that every software vendor receives all order data. External services receive information relevant to their particular functions. Information may also be disclosed when required by applicable law or to address a lawful request.
Security and retention
The website and checkout are served over HTTPS, and administrative functions require sign-in. Square provides its payment-entry components. No internet service can guarantee complete security. This policy does not represent that every third-party app-platform transmission has been independently verified as encrypted.
The store currently has no automatic deletion period configured in WooCommerce for inactive accounts or pending, failed, cancelled, refunded, or completed orders. These records can therefore remain until they are removed or anonymized through an authorized process. Retention can depend on order support, accounting, tax, fraud-prevention, security, and legal requirements. Analytics and other provider-held information is governed by the applicable service configuration and provider practices; this policy does not promise a fixed retention period for those systems.
Privacy, account, and deletion requests
To request access to, correction of, or deletion of information held by the restaurant, including an existing customer account and its associated information, call (973) 754-1096 or send a written request to the privacy contact above. Clearly state that you are making a privacy or account-deletion request and identify the account email or relevant order reference. You do not need to reinstall the app to contact the restaurant.
Requests may require verification to protect customer information. Some transaction information may need to be retained for applicable accounting, tax, security, or legal obligations. Ask which information can be removed and which records must be retained. Uninstalling the app or clearing local storage does not delete website orders or an existing account. Rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain information, and any applicable exceptions, depend on the laws that apply to your request.
Children and policy updates
The app is a restaurant menu and ordering service for a general customer audience and is not specifically designed for children. A parent or guardian concerned about information a child has provided can contact the restaurant using the details above.
This page may be updated when the website, app, service providers, or data practices change. The effective date above identifies the current version. For current restaurant contact information, visit the Contact page.
